The New College Life

WELL hello there :)
It's been a while... Summer has gone by, way too fast if you ask me, and it's time for me to start COLLEGEEEEEEE!!!
I can't believe I'm already there in my life..
This week I moved into my first apartment (excitement!!), and being away from my hometown is so weird!
I'm starting next week in Communication, Writing and Multimedia and I can't tell you how happy I am to leave behind chemistry, physics and maths. It's a new town, new school, new life!

BUT the thing I'm excited about is decorating my apartment!
It took my family and I about 2 and a half days to paint the whole thing. Goodbye yellow, green or blue/mint/hospital colours! Everything is now light grey and it's prefect for me.
Of course my budget is so tight that I can't afford to buy anything to decorate any rooms, but I manage to look for some inspiration. Those pictures show some of them, and step by step I hope my room can look like that :)

Got this song stuck in my head for the past 2 weeks, WEEKS.
When my good friend asked me to help her find music for her emminant runway (can't wait to see her collection btw) I went on a mission to find good, vibrant, lanadelreyish, and unknown music. I had a blast looking around trying to find thing that could suit her girly but edgy brand.
BUT I discovered, I'll use discover here because I knew her before but didn't really took the time to appreciate her music (and sense of style), Marina & the Diamonds. Her music truly helped me get through the rough winter days that won't go away. I actually had the chance to see her perform before Coldplay last July and she was excellent.
Anyways, I decided to check out more about her, and it seems she has a unique style, and I want to share it with you!! She has a little touch of pinup and Twiggy at the same time, love that!! So here's some of her best looks :) You also have at the end my song selection for my friend's runway :)

I still haven't found my stupid camera cable and it kills me cause I want to share with you OFW so much. SO instead I went for one of my favorite style icon. Ginger Rogers. Love the 30's. Great music, fashion and of course DANCE. Did a little set on polyvore and I'm sharing with you some of my favorite pictures of her, some are with Fred Astaire (ring a bell?). You'll may be see one that look familiar, it sure is very much with me :) End that post with joy and watch them dance!
