The New Old

I gosh. How to be less photogenic!!! Ahah
The accessories
Shoe.
I wish I had a better camera...

Well, I guess you can't see very well what I was wearing (poor camera..) but it's quite cute! My mother cleaned her room and she gave to me all the clothes that were to small for her, how wonderful! I can't wait to show you all the things that I inherited. On that blouse, you can't see it very well, but there's a ribbon that I use to made something like a bowtie. It's lovely. This outfit is a mix of old and new things that's what I love about it.
Next time I'll try to have better photos!

Blouse: used to be my mom's - Pants: Urban outfitters - Shoes: Winners - Bracelet (barely seen) : used to be my grandma's - glasses: dollar store(yesss) - earrings: used to be my grandma's.

Let's Talk About Men Baby

Hello everyone! Today, I was doing my favorite thing in the world, looking at fashion trends and news on the Internet. Well may be it's not my favorite thing but I love it. I have my list of sites that I appreciate and while I was on Style.com I found those pictures. Pictures of men going to menswear shows with the most incredible styles. I normally don't pay to much attention to the menswear collection, but those pictures look really great so I decided to do my first post about men's fashion!

The pictures were taken by Tommy Ton at menswear show in Paris, Milan and Florence. The only thing I have to say is that European guys got style!
The clothes are a mix of neutral and colorful things, that's what i love the most about it. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

I love men in suits. And I think this jacket is very very nice.

Love the glasses and the jacket.

Look at the buttons. The detail make the whole outfit.

Beautiful Castle

Hello everyone! Tomorrow is the back to school day! Sniff!! But before that sad day I decided I wanted to post something, I thought may be an outfit post but I fell on this, and I decided that the next post will be an outfit post because this photo shot was meant to be seen! I mean come on, who doesn't want to go to Tuscan now nobody I'm sure. But yeah the pictures are all from VOGUE and were taken by Mario Testino.

My favorite. This girl is gorgeous. I love the way the shadows look like in this pictures and she totally smize (thanks Tyra for all this vocabulary!)

Well, I don't understand how this man can cook while he has a beautiful woman standing a couple of feet away from him half naked...
It's beautiful, the dress and the landscape.

I love what she's wearing. I wish I had a body to wear that kind of thing..

Beautiful Italy
I love the editorials in Vogue!
Next post - outfit post I promise!!

Back in November

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!!! I wish you a wonderful year :)

Even if we are now in the year 2011, I felt the need to go back to one of my favorite of the past year in fashion. It's not international at all, it's actually Ottawa Fashion Week. It was the second time I attended a Fashion Week but this one was insane. I didn't post about it 'cause I thought my pictures were reel crapp. They still are but I want to show you what it's like far away from New-York, Paris or Milan.
All the designers were unknown to me except Jessica Biffi (Project Runwan Canada) which I missed the runway. The event took place in the National Gallery of Canada and it was absolutely gorgeous. The set-up was very great, I loved being there. I can't wait for the next one in March :)
So here are my favorite and least worst pictures :P
The program :)
Me and my friend having sooooo much fun. My sweater is actually the best of both world very fashion and so comfy (Thrift :P)
The set-up, as you can see second row is not bad at all, except when you have a crappy cam.
Modasuit = sexy men in sexy tux
This label Nixxi was fabulous, and the girl had the best walk of the night, she was rocking it.
Keera Sama
Emilia Torabi

The next ones are from photographers, better quality :P
Adrian Wu
Jessica Biffi the queen.

So that's it! Enjoy the rest of your vacation and Happy New Year again!

Resolutions and Retrospective

Hi everyone, it's been a long time since I wrote on this little blog of my own. I was in computer rehab for Christmas, I hope you enjoyed Christmas as much as I did. Now that Christmas is past it's time to think of the New Year that is coming so fastly. First of all, New Year means it's time for resolutions, and I'll try to do my best to keep them this year.

1. Try to spend less money on clothes and things like that (unrealistic)
2. Try to make some clothes that I can actually wear with my brand new sewing machine :)
3. Do sports? I alwalys do sports so a different one? We'll see.
4. Learn a new language, German perhaps? ( I already speak French, English, and I have base in Spanish, yeah!)
5. Be happy :)

Those resolutions make me think of the past and I think it's the time to do the fashion retrospective of this year. Oh Mon Dieu, what a year! If we look in Haute-Couture I think that my favorite collections were Christian Dior and Chanel. One was very colorful and the other the opposite. One was avangardist and the other more classic. They still remain my favorites.

I think it's very difficult for me to choose for the best adds and campaigns, so I went on models.com, I think they made quite good choices. I do not agree with all but some are my favorites too.

Campaigns
Bottega Veneta F/W 2010. I love the posing. It's not my favorite but I think it deserve a place here just because of the artistic look. (ph: Robert Longo)
Givenchy F/W 2010. When I saw this campaign in one of my magazines it catched my eyes. The bright colours and the dynamic make this campaign work 110% for me. (ph: Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott)
Louis Vuitton F/W 2010. I love this collection, so I love this campaign! It's so classy and beautiful probably my favorite. Don't you want to buy anything that these girls are selling? I do. (ph: Steven Meisel, the master)

Editorials
Oh gosh. I had difficulties choosing my favorites! I chose those two, but I could have picked 50.
Star Signs, in British Vogue by Tim Gutt. I love this editorial, the poses are amazing. All the creative ideas are fantastic. Me gusta!
Water & Oil, in Vogue Italia by Steven Meisel. This one is absolutely stunning. Look at the details. I think that my credits for this one go to the photographer who did an amazing job capturing this.

Models

What a year. How to choose? I decided to take the favorite of models.com. This woman deserves her place totally. And the other one is my favorites, the new it-girl.
Lara Stone. It was her year. She was everywhere. She deserves totally this place as the number one model of 2010. Chapeau!
Karlie Kloss. The new it-girl. I think her Dior campaigns was fantastic, she's one girl to watch.

That's it for my retrospective. There's more to say about this year in the fashion industry, but I think that my choices are quite like what happened this year.

What are your resolutions for 2011??
